Empathy

Every person has their own story, emotions, and needs. That’s why in my work, I prioritize understanding and acceptance, creating a safe space for open conversation.

I use proven therapeutic methods, stay up to date with new advancements, and follow professional ethics.

Individual Approach

Each person is different, so I adjust my methods to meet the unique needs of my clients, helping them find their way to balance and growth.

About me

My name is Aleksandra Matuszek, and I have a Master’s degree in Psychology with a clinical specialization, which I earned at SWPS University in Wrocław, Poland, in 2016.

I have gained professional experience in mental health institutions in Poland🇵🇱, Denmark🇩🇰, Greenland🇬🇱, and Norway🇳🇴. Currently, I am undergoing a 5-year training in psychodynamic-systemic therapy and also expanding my knowledge in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

I have specialized training in psychotherapy for individuals with schizophrenia and The Maastricht Approach. I also have experience with the Open Dialogue approach, which I have researched as well. I completed basic EMDR training.

I integrate different therapeutic approaches to support your unique needs, helping you embrace change in a safe and understanding environment.

I regularly take part in supervision to ensure I provide the best care for my clients.

Offer

Psychological consultations

provide a safe space to discuss the difficulties that impact your daily life and well-being. In our first sessions, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing, their causes, and talk about your past experiences and potential ways to move forward together.

The goal is to help you understand your problem more clearly and find the best next steps, whether that’s starting therapy or accessing other forms of support tailored to your needs.

Psychotherapy

is a journey to help you understand yourself better – your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. It aims to support you in overcoming emotional and psychological difficulties and improving your overall quality of life.

During therapy sessions, we’ll work together to identify the root causes of your struggles and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding. Each session lasts 50 minutes and is held regularly, offering a space where you can openly share your feelings and challenges.

Personal Development and Self-Knowledge

I can help you discover your strengths, build self-confidence, manage stress and emotions, and achieve your personal and professional goals.

I support people dealing with:

  • Low mood, depression, and anxiety
  • Difficulty managing stress and emotions
  • The effects of trauma, loss, and grief
  • Difficulties building healthy relationships
  • Difficulties related to sexuality and identity
  • Challenges of immigration and adapting to a new environment
  • Situations where a loved one is struggling with mental health issues
  • Emotional challenges during pregnancy and after childbirth
  • Difficult experiences with psychosis – helping to understand symptoms, find balance, and restore quality of life
